The Three Billy Goats Gruff
Watch this space for our descriptions that we are working on!
One day under the bridge
there was a Troll. He was greedy, oh yes he was greedy! Every goat that went
over the bridge got gobbled up. The troll was bony and old and hairy too.
When he got smashed off the
bridge, he went to his cave to live but he was so starving and as mean as a
black panther and he was running around to get a Billy Goat Gruff. He had to
eat fish for the rest of his life. Matthew
Once there was a smelly ugly troll with white un-brushed
messy hair and he had teeth that he never brushed so they turned dark yellow
and he had evil eyes and black, dark eyebrows!
That troll was so mean and he had ragged clothes that he
never washed in the machine.
One day he was feeling starving so his tummy growled because
he saw 3 Billy Goat Gruffs…
Harleen
A mean, ugly, hairy,
messy troll lived under a rickety, wobbly, grey wooden bridge. His black pants
were scruffy and tatty like his red vest and white t-shirt. He is always
grumpy, angry and in the mood for a feast of Billy Goats.
In the inside of the ugly
troll, he was feeling hungry and in the mood for Billy Goat Stew! He had weak
skinny bones even though he looks strong but he is actually weak!
This is what the troll
looks like. He is ugly, fat and almost as fat as a Xmas Pudding with yellow
spikey teeth because he never cleans them. He is hairy and has a heavy gold
horse-shoe shaped earring. He has long curly fingernails that almost touch his
toes. He has a red velvet jacket and a dirty stained white t-shirt and dark green
slim trousers like algae in the river. His black evil eyes spook everybody near
that’s why his is proud of his eyes. He doesn’t have a hairbrush to brush his
busy grey hair.
Jaimee
Oh what a mean troll
that lives under the old wooden rickety bridge. He is very old and he has got
earrings and big yellow spikes for teeth because he doesn’t clean them. He is
hairy and has curly claws.
His meanness and
evilness is in his heart. He is always hungry for Billy Goats. He is dumb and
as bony as a skeleton. He has a special taste for Billy Goats! Seamus
That cranky old hungry troll that
lives under the old cobblestone bridge is as smelly as a skunk!!! He is super
strong and ultra ugly!! In fact he is so scruffy, you might mistake his
sleeping form for a rocket!
His brain is as small as a microcube.
He is grumpy and idiotic. In fact he is so idiotic, he might even try to eat a
rock!
So as you might have guessed, he is
quite stupid. MUNCH! CRASH! BAM! BANG! UH-OH! Here he comes, gotta go!!
CRUNCH!!! Booooaaaaa!!! Biff!! Smash! Clang! Nicholas
The mean old Troll is
crazy. His eyes are red, his teeth are as sharp as a sharks and he is angry and
grumpy. That Troll has a special taste for Billy Goats Gruff. He has big ears,
as big as a rabbits and he is as hungry as the world. He has a white long
beard. He is as hairy as a long hairy sheep and he has yellow teeth. Harsajan
The big mean ugly Troll
once lived under the bridge. He has huge pointy claws and pointy teeth. He has
a red vest. He has evil eyes and he has hairy, hairy, shaped ears and green
shorts.

Making Mistakes is Good
This week in Maths we are solving addition problems where one of the addends is missing. Here is our thinking from Maths Groups Diamonds and Hexagons.
Mrs Chisnall doesn't mind if we make mistakes because that is how we learn. In maths, it is the sharing with others as to how we got the answer that is more important.

Congratulations
Well done to the following children who are now ready to be tested on the next Maths Knowledge Level because they scored 80% or above:
Now working at Stage 4 (M.J., Kassie and Annaliese)
Now working at Stage 5 (Rayhan, Harman, Matthew, Mikayla M., Ella and Iliya)
I will have to work out if it is mathletics that is making the difference or the children using the maths knowledge sheet in their Home Book to nail their Maths Knowledge!
A big thank you to those parents who have been supporting their children.
If your child's name has not been mentioned above, it could be that they were away when we had the testing or they are already working at Stage 4 or 5.

Discovery Learning-Vehicles
W3 have been talking about vehicles.
This week we have been thinking about how we could make a vehicle with wheels.
For homework tonight, the children are going to collect materials from around the house to bring to school so that they can test their ideas.
We will be posting photos on the blog of our models. At this stage we are only making a prototype
(mock up/model).
If you have any extra materials around the house like containers (boxes, clean plastic bottles, milk lids or similar for wheels etc., they may be helpful to children who forget or can't find anything-THANK YOU :)
