Below are some quick writes we did today in class about ANZAC/War and the children's thoughts...

I think the war isn't good because people die alot and that is very sad and those who die in the war are very special to me. My dad knows someone who died in the war and they were very old.

Anzac Day is remembering the people who went to war and died.
Anzac Day is remembering those who wanted to save us and they also died.

The biggest war in the world happened in Europe. It began in Germany. The president of Germany started it. His name was Hitler.

Why did the ANZACS go to war? 
Bullets go everywhere and there were bombs on the ground and we will remember them today, the NZ soldiers who sacraficed their lives.

This year our class has 24 children ranging from Year 3 to Year 5. We are a great looking bunch of girls and boys and our teacher this year is Mrs Chisnall. We also have Renee helping in our classroom and Mrs Harding comes in and takes us when Mrs Chisnall is on release or away.
